Workshop Goals

  • Move beyond rewards, praise, and punishment
  • Learn what motivates your child to misbehave and cooperate
  • Understand the nature of power struggles and how to eliminate them
  • Learn which behaviors to ignore and which to address
  • Promote your child’s independence, responsibility and cooperation

Our parenting workshops combine the most robust and unifying research findings in psychology with practical methods of a non-violent, non-coercive approach to child guidance and discipline. The focus is on raising cooperative, independent and responsible children. In addition to foundational principles, we teach specific skills and techniques for dealing with common problem areas, such as:

  • Morning and bedtime routine
  • Struggles over homework
  • Dealing with public tantrums
  • Mealtime and dietary struggles
  • Back talk and disrespect
  • Resisting doing chores
  • Materialism and entitlement
  • Insecurity and over-sensitivity
  • Not listening
  • Sibling fights
