In the newest installment of the Conversations that Connect seriesMaking Listening an Act of Love – Michiana couples are invited to reconsider what it means to listen well. Most of us want to be helpful when talking with our spouse about a meaningful or difficult experience, and our instinct is to fix, give advice, or reassure, which often prevents genuine understanding. This evening will explore how attentive listening, without problem-solving or judgment, becomes one of the most powerful ways to communicate care, compassion, and love.

Through practical teaching and guided conversation, couples will experience what good listening is and why it is transformative. Listening well requires curiosity, presence, and a willingness to seek understanding of your partner’s inner world. Feeling truly heard allows connection to deepen, defensiveness to soften, and emotional safety to blossom. This evening offers intentional practices to help couples turn everyday conversations into meaningful moments of love through simply listening.
